About HGCC And The Mission

While HGCC was founded in 2025, the owners, Pan and Ben have had almost a decade of experience working together building ground up large institutional commerical buildings, and residential spec homes. 

Over the years of work together, Pan and Ben were in strong agreement on some of the construction industry’s major flaws. With a mutual motivation to constantly and consistently improve status quo, HGC Companies was created.   

 The mission at HGCC is simple: Satisfied customers. 

And this is done by providing clear and honest communication at all stages of the construction process. Doing exactly what we say we will do, and holding all members of the project team accountable while we strive for satisfactory results. Along the way, we strive to ensure this process is efficient and simple. 

HGCC is based and founded Michigan, but starting in 2026, we will be providing services in North Carolina and Texas, as well.

Meet the owners

About Pan Gulland - Owner & Sr. Construction Manager

Pan has developed a lifelong relationship with the construction industry starting in 1996. Watching his father design bridges as a small child fostered a curiosity for design drawings and industry standards.  Working hands-on at an early age paved the way to a wide range of learning experiences across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Becoming a subcontractor followed by contractor moved him from the field to the office, which presented new challenges and even more learning opportunities. He began working with Westhaven Builders in March of 2018 due to a shared appreciation for the craft of Design-Build. The last few years have afforded Pan the ability to hone his skills in this ever-evolving industry, as well as pursue architectural licensure.

His grandfather told him, "If you want to have a great fishing trip, go with friends that love to fish."  So, in turn, if you want to have a great building...

About Ben Hindle - Owner & Operations Manager

A veteran of the construction industry, Ben started his days in the construction industry at age 10 working beside his grandfather on small concrete jobs and his father, a residential home builder. Later in life, he earned his BA in financial management from a Hillsdale College and has applied that knowledge and experience to the construction industry. Some of Ben’s notable projects over the years include leading the ground-up construction of multiple large assisted living facilities in the Midwest and Texas.
